چکیده
Opposed rotary piston engines are characterized by high power density, which makes them as an ideal source for hybrid vehicles and range extended electric vehicles. Hydrogen applications can fully exhibit the merits of opposed engines, achieve zero carbon dioxide emissions; however, seriously worsen nitrogen oxides emissions. In this investigation, lean-burn was adopted to low emissions using a three dimensional numerical simulation approach. The results indicated that engine speed 3000 r/min presented highest in-cylinder pressure during combustion among given scenarios, over depended more on equivalence ratio than 1000 2000 r/min. Heat release rates were very sensitive ratio. Combustion duration 0.8 shortest cases; it decreased with loss through cylinder walls increased significantly speed, meanwhile they dependent higher speed. Maximum monoxide formation occurred slightly earlier those Equivalence showed thermal efficiency corresponding emission factors quite 0.7

Performance Characteristics of Lean Burn Engine Fuelled with Hydrogen Rich Gas from Plasma Fuel Reformer
In order to analyze the effect of hydrogen rich gas addition (HRG) on lean burn engine’s thermal efficiency and emission, an experimental research was conducted on a gasoline direct injection (GDI) engine using definite fraction of HRG. The results showed that HRG addition could significantly extend the lean operation limit, improve the engine’s lean burn ability, and decrease burn duration. HR...
